A Change in Our Journey – Community Transformation Center
It is with a heavy heart that we share that Etta Projects has made the difficult decision to close our Community Transformation Center, Tekoatí, in Bolivia.
This decision was not made lightly. Over the years, Tekoatí has been a place of connection—where volunteers and groups from around the world came together to learn, contribute, and grow alongside our communities. Following the pandemic, however, the number of groups able to travel to Bolivia declined significantly, and the high costs of maintaining the center made it unsustainable for us to continue operating.
While we are deeply saddened to close this chapter, we celebrate the legacy of Tekoatí as a hub of connection, learning, and transformation. We can take comfort in knowing that the impact of Tekoatí will continue to resonate in the lives of those who had the privilege to be hosted there.
Most importantly, we want to reassure you the closure of Tekoatí does not affect our ongoing projects. Our work in water, sanitation, sexual and reproductive health, and community health remains strong, and we are committed to supporting the communities we serve with the same dedication and care as always.
Thanks to your continued generosity, we are able to focus our resources where they are most impactful. Because of donors like you, our programs can move forward, making lasting change, even as we close this beloved chapter in our story.
