"We are really excited about the school garden project. We will learn with the children how to plant different kinds of plants and vegetables. We will learn about vitamins and nutrition too. This will help us. Right now, the school only gives the kids soy, yucca, and rice to eat. The garden will give us vegetables and salads. It's a tremendous help."
Another teacher adds, "The kids will learn the importance of nutrition not only in school, but also for in their home. We live in some of the best land in the country for growing. This land produces everything, but it's like we live somewhere that doesn't produce anything at all. People still buy their vegetables when they need them. And most of the time people don't have money to buy them. These kids will learn from this project."
The last teacher comments, "We like to work with Etta Projects. We know it is not easy to come this far, but you still come to help. We see that, and appreciate it. And you come with more than just money. You come and teach us and give incentive to this community."

"I like working in the garden. I'm learning something new. I'm happy we will have vegetables. I like mixing a lot of vegetables together and eating salads, but my favorite vegetables are tomatoes and lettuce. I like working with my friends in the garden."

"I like the new garden. My favorite part is growing the seeds. I like to eat all types of vegetables. I know some things about gardens, but this is the first time I have ever had one. It's fun when we get to work in the garden."
