Ettas Auction Is Open

April 16, 2020

Come together for three days of peace, love and Bolivia Thursday, April 16 - Saturday, April 18. Etta’s Virtual Auction and Fundraiser displays 39 great reasons to support our sustainable projects. Auction items are carefully chosen, and many are handcrafted. Bidding through the online auction and cash donations are what will help us reach our fundraising goal over these three days of celebration.

“We wanted to be together with you this week, but this pandemic has created an opportunity to share in a different way. We come together online with everyone we know, and love that has supported us for so many years,” said Director of Operations Pennye Nixon. “This is a lovely, unexpected opportunity.”

Etta’s Virtual Auction event strives to delight bidders with unique items, where you can take a virtual video tour of many auction items and meet the artists who created them. Luscious ornamental plants and an herb garden will sell locally, while an Italian leather handbag and jewelry which can be shipped anywhere. Experience a romantic stay for two at the Colombia River Gorge (with $750 in credit) or a Gig Harbor Dragon Boat excursion for you and up to 15 friends. Lovely handmade Bolivian wares and beautiful international works of art are available for your bidding at through April 18.

This year, we are aiming high to raise $75,000 in just three days. Not only selling auction items, but one-time and monthly donations are critical to hit our mark. We have a generous donor base and we are looking to stay sustainable for many years to come. Our donors know we are good stewards with their dollars, and they make donations to support basic services in Bolivia,
access to clean water, safe sanitation and rural access to health care.

“Most of us have been through hard times before, my experience is that times like this can open us to many opportunities to do good, and if we act on those opportunities, we can make a few miracles happen.” Says Nixon.
